Plan your lesson day
Meeting Point
Start with the Pau Hana Sailing meeting point, then use the landmarks and arrival choices that get guests from Waikīkī traffic to the right crew.

How check-in works
When you arrive at Pau Hana Sailing inside Ala Wai Boat Harbor, look for your SFC instructor and the lesson boards. Give your booking name, and the crew sizes your board, leash, rash guard and reef shoes before the beach talk.
- Arrive 10–15 minutes before your booked time so gear-up doesn’t cut into water time.
- Bring only what you need — the crew can point you to where personal items stay during the lesson.
- Wear your swimsuit under your clothes; there isn’t a locker room at the harbor.
- Traveling as a group? Have one person check the whole party in under a single booking name.
Tip: Text 808-490-8674 the moment you’re running late or can’t find the crew — a real person answers.

What to look for at the harbor
The Ala Wai Boat Harbor is larger than most visitors expect, with several operators along the docks. Head for Pau Hana Sailing specifically — that’s where SFC stages boards and meets guests. Diamond Head sits to your left as you face the water, and the Hilton lagoon is just to your right.
If you arrive and can’t spot the SFC crew or the lesson boards, don’t wander the docks — text your booking name to 808-490-8674 and the crew will wave you in.
