Join an open group session
The open group is the come-as-you-are choice: book a spot, meet your class on the sand and learn together on gentle south-shore water. The class stays small — never more than four guests to one instructor — so every ride still gets a coach’s eyes.

Go private: one-on-one or your own group
Private instruction comes in two shapes. One-on-one keeps a single surfer with an instructor from check-in to the last wave. The private group keeps that same privacy for your own crew of two to eight — outside students never join either lesson.

Take it further: the three-day surf camp
The camp brings you back for three 90-minute coached sessions. Arrange the remaining dates with SFC after choosing your first session, leaving room for the full package in your trip.

Quick answers
Lesson options questions
How many students share an open class?
An open class takes up to eight students, with no more than four students per instructor. The class needs two students to run at the group rate; read the solo-booking notes on the open-group page.
Do I need experience to join an open group?
None — the session starts on dry sand with the board, the paddle and the pop-up, and most classmates are first-timers too.
What does an open group session cost?
Ninety-nine dollars per person for sixty minutes or one hundred thirty-five for ninety, with the board, leash and rash guard included.
What is the difference between one-on-one and a private group?
One-on-one is a single surfer with the instructor’s full attention; a private group shares that privacy with your own crew of two to eight. Nobody outside your booking joins either lesson.
Which lesson suits a first-timer?
All core formats begin with instruction on sand. Choose open group for a shared class, one-on-one for individual attention, or private group to learn with your own party.
